Presidential standard hoisted over Tatarstan head's residence

Presidential standard was hoisted over the residence of the head of the Republic of Tatarstan (Volga area) in the Kazan Kremlin on Sunday. The decree on the standard - the flag of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan - came into force on Saturday. The decree says that the original of the standard must be kept in the presidential office in the Kazan Kremlin, while its copy will be hoisted over the residence. The standard is a square panel with horizontal green, white and red stripes - these are the colors of the state flag of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the center of the panel, framed by golden fringe is Tatarstan's emblem - a circle in the center of which is the figure of a snow leopard. The emblem is of the same colors as the flag. A golden clamp with the name, surname and patronymic of the current Tatarstan president and the dates of his term of office engraved on it, is attached to the flagstaff.
