Japanese schoolchildren will spend their summer vacations in the Russian Far Eastern taiga. As the press service of the Mayor's Office of the biggest Russian Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk reported, on Tuesday fifteen secondary school pupils from the town of Musashino arrived in one of the health-building camps for children in the Sikhote-Alin mountains in taiga.

Their programme includes a visit to the rehabilitation centre for wild animals and also participation in the contest of drawings and posters devoted to the protection of nature.

After their stay in the ecological and biological centre, the Japanese children will spent three days in the families of the children of their age from Khabarovsk, reported the press service.

The inhabitants of Musashino and Khabarovsk have been maintaining contacts for the last fifteen years. Delegations of children from Khabarovsk go to Japan for their holidays once in two years, and in the same way schoolchildren from Musashino go for their holidays to Khabarovsk once in two years.
