Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on members of the Government and State Duma deputies to determine where migrant workers can work, and in what areas their work is not needed.
Putin made this proposal at a meeting with the heads of primary branches of United Russia party.
The president noted that in some industries, it was indeed hard to do without foreign workers, but one should employ Russians, where it is possible.
As an example, Putin referred to the trade sector, where, in his opinion, migrant workers are less necessary.
