Delegation of European Parliament to visit Chechnya

The delegation of the European Parliament will visit Chechnya on June 15-18, Moscow representation of the European Parliament disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent.

The delegation is headed by Finnish representative to the European Parliament Reino Paasilinna. The delegation also includes the following parliamentarians - Bart Staes /Belgium/, Arie Ostlander /the Netherlands/ and Giovanni Fava /Italy/.

The delegates will meet with representatives of the Russian government, Ingush and Chechen administration, workers of humanitarian organisations and Chechen public figures.

Following the visit, Reino Paasilinna will present a report at the forthcoming in July European Parliament session in Strasbourg.
