The Secretary of Ukraine’s Council for National Security and Defense, Yevgeny Marchuk, said in the interview to Russia’s leading media outlets that the high level of confidence between Russia and Ukraine, the tragedy, which took place October 4th with the Russian airliner Tu-154, will not have a negative effect on the relations between the two countries.
“Kiev stands for friendly relations with the neighboring countries and to have those relations forecasted and regulated. Establishing such relations is one of top priorities for Ukraine,” Marchuk stated. In this connection, Marchuk said that there were no problems between Russia and Ukraine “on the political, diplomatic, and personal level.” Giving estimations to the work of the state commission for investigating the reasons of Tu-154 passenger airliner crash, Marchuk said it was highly professional, principal, and consistent.”
