Chechnya's Tent Camps To Be Removed Within February-march 2002

Chechnya's refugee tent camps are going to be done away with, according to Chechen Prime Minister Stanislav Ilyasov. He said forced migrants will be resettled to temporary housing centres, which are being arranged in the republic's capital city of Grozny and two other major cities, Sernovodsk and Gudermes. The Chechen authorities have been providing every condition for Chechens' homecoming, emphasized the premier. On Monday, the Chechen premier held a Grozny meeting with a visiting delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
