Two polling stations will open in Ingushetia at the points of the temporary accommodation of forced migrants from Chechnya. This decision was adopted due to numerous requests by the refugees wishing to take part in the referendum on the Chechen constitution on March 23, reported the republican election commission.
In the words of deputy commission head Buvaisari Arsakhanov, there is no possibility to open polling stations in all the places of the compact residence of forced migrants in Ingushetia.
Earlier, representatives of the Russian Central Election Commission and the Chechen leaders stated that polling stations would not be put up outside Chechnya, while all the refugees wishing to take part in the referendum would be brought to the ballot-boxes established on the Chechen-Ingush border.
