A shocking display of depravity, perversion and blasphemy was visible in a shocking fashion show in Madrid, Spain, on Friday. The collection presented by Spanish designer David Delfin at the Pasarela Cibeles caused such a wave of revolt that half of those present left the room.
The models stumbled along the cat-walk as they tried to find their feet, wearing hoods, suspender belts and draped in rosaries and wooden crosses, to a background “music” of female orgasms. The idea, apparently, was to present a homage to the women of Afghanistan, the hoods being an allusion to the burqah imposed on Afghanistan’s women during the Taleban regime. The director of the event, Fermin Lucas, expressed his indignation at the lack of respect to women, while Cuca Solana, the director of the venue, tried in vain to cancel the show.
Some of the models lost their footing and tripped over on the cat-walk, which brought a forced apology from David Delfin, who curiously gets his name in print around the fashion world.
Why it is that the young, up-and-coming western artists of today have to turn to degeneration, perversion, blasphemy and utter filth to make a name for themselves is a telling comment on the total lack of imagination, of technique and of artistic talent being churned out by institutions which deign to call themselves “schools”.
