Putin to meet Chinese leaders during trip to Beijing

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meat the head of the Chinese parliament and the Chinese Prime Minister as well as governors of neighboring regions of the two countries in the course of his Chinese trip. Putin's meeting with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo is scheduled for today. Putin and Bangguo will discuss strengthening of strategic cooperation between the two countries.

The Russian President will also visit the city of Xian, where he is to meet governors of Russian and Chinese neighboring regions. A number of Russian regional governors are accompanying Putin in his trip.
