Russia to deploy Su-27 fighters in Belarus

In 2016, in the town of Bobruisk, Belarus, a Russian air base will appear. Su-27 aircraft will be deployed on the base, Air Force Commander Colonel General Viktor Bondarev said October 15.

According to him, the Russian aircraft will be deployed on a military airfield, the reconstruction plan of which has already been prepared. Earlier, Russia decided to deploy a regiment of 24 Su-27CM3 aircraft to the Baranovichi airfield in Belarus, TASS reports.

Bondarev also shared a few details about next year's reconstruction of the Russian Arctic aerodrome in Tiksi. "In 2017, a compound of frontline aircraft and MiG-31 interceptors will be based there. Also, MiG-31 will be deployed on the airfield in Anadyr," said the commander of the Russian Air Force.
