The forum was dedicated to the world day of quality and the European Week of quality. Similar events were held in Moscow and several other Russian cities. According to observers, the All-Russian forum is a good platform to exchange experience of best developments in the field of economics.
The forum brought together scientists, representatives of federal and regional authorities, expert organizations , businessmen, delegations of Russian regions and foreign guests. The participants discussed issues of standardization and quality as factors of competitiveness, certification, technical regulations and international standards, as well as problems of their application. The event was attended by President of the Russian Organization for Quality, Gennady Voronin, a guru of European quality, ex-president of the European Organization for Quality, ex-president of the International Academy for Quality, Tito Conti, representatives of other regions and heads of industrial enterprises.
"To strengthen the unity of Russia, all-Russian forums are important, of course, - said Finnish Doctor of Political Science and Associate Professor of the University of Helsinki, Johan Backman. - But, basically, I always have a positive attitude to the forums, like the one in Nizhny Novgorod, in which international experts and people from all regions of Russia participate, because it may well strengthen the unity of the country."
During a plenary session of the forum, deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Yevgeny Lyulin, noted that the Nizhny Novgorod region had taken the lead in terms of industrial production. Other speakers also pointed out the positive dynamics of the region.
"Nevertheless, today it is necessary to adopt a single comprehensive federal law to define the state policy in the sphere of industry and legislate the priority of innovative development to thus improve production efficiency and product quality," said deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Morozov.
