Vladimir Putin: Russian and foreign energy market players to be put on equal terms

President Vladimir Putin reiterated how important the development of legislation in the area of the division of production is. He said that Russia needed to calculate not only the interests of the government and Russian companies but also put all participants in the energy market- Russian and foreign - on equal terms. Putin made his remarks at a meeting with representatives of large Russian and foreign energy companies and Global Energy laureates at Konstantinovsky palace on June 15.

Putin also said that if we are talking about agreements on division of production, then it is necessary to give preference only when activity of companies is connected with significant risk. 'For the Russian government there must not be a difference between foreign and Russian participants in this process,' he said.
