Iraq: Massive attack against regime to come from Kurds

The Turkish press confirmed on Monday that at least fifty US lorries were conveying military equipment into northern Iraq, whilst US warplanes bombarded Iraqi anti-aircraft defence positions in the south of the country.

50 lorries passed the border post today, adding to the 500 lorries which have already penetrated Iraq at Harbur on the Turkish border. This equipment is destined for the 2,000 Kurdish fighters being trained by US personnel in northern Iraq.
