Russia and Kazakhstan to discuss energy cooperation today

Bilateral consultations on strategic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan are to start in Moscow today. In particular, participants of the meeting will discuss cooperation in the sphere of fuel and energy balance. The energy sector is the main issue of economic collaboration between the two countries, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristeno declared in Omsk.

The Russian Deputy PM believes that it is necessary to create common rules on the energy market in order to work out the fuel and energy balance together. To achieve this goal legislation and protective mechanisms should be optimized, which will allow for the control over the situation on the joint fuel and energy market, he stressed.
