Russian Defence Minister reports to Putin on information exchange on anti-aircraft systems trade within CIS

On Tuesday, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the meeting between defence ministers of the CIS member-states, which had recently taken place in Kazakhstan.

In particular, an issue concerning "tools for information exchange on export and import of portable anti-aircraft systems," Sergei Ivanov said at a routine meeting between the Russian President and the Cabinet.

The Russian Defence Minister reported about his visit to the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan which, according to Mr. Ivanov, "can carry out both military and scientific tasks." The Russian Defence Minister also spoke about his participation in a meeting between defence ministers in the framework of 20 in Brussels. According to him, Russia proposed to render technical assistance to NATO that would be in charge of the peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan early in autumn. "The proposals were gratefully accepted," Sergei Ivanov stressed.

More than 5.8 million people voted for Nicholas Maduro at the presidential election in Venezuela. This is more than a quarter of registered voters. Why did those people vote for the man, who, as Western media write, took Venezuela to the brink of collapse?
