Finnish President to visit Russia

Finnish President Tarja Halonen and her husband Pentti Arajarvi are planning to make an official visit to Russia this month. The president's office told Rosbalt that she would visit Arkhangelsk from June 27 to 29.

The Finnish president will hold talks with Arkhangelsk Regional Governor Anatoly Yefremov. Her planned schedule also includes a visit to the Museum of the Russian North. Pentti Arajarvi will take part in the Gandvik marathon, which is being held for the 20th time. Halonen will round off her visit with a trip to the monastery on the Solovki Islands on June 29.
