Everything is “quiet” in the republic of Dagestan

The chairman of the State Council of the republic of Dagestan, Madomed ali Magomedov conducted a session Saturday, in which the secretary of the republic’s security council, the supervisors of the law-enforcement bodies, the heads of several ministerial departments took part.

As RIA Novosti was informed by the press-service of the State Council and the government of Dagestan, the participants of the session listened to the report from the internal affairs minister, as well as from the prosecutor, deputy chief of the Russian Federation Federal Security Service department in Dagestan. The reports were devoted to the procedure of the investigation of the act of terrorism, which took place in Dagestan’s capital, the city of Makhachkala, on January 18.

Pursuant to the latest information, there were seven military men killed and three injured as a result of the explosion of the vehicle, carrying the soldiers of the internal troops. The explosive device was stuffed with nails and other metal things. There were the criminal proceedings instituted on article “terrorism.”

It is an open secret that the republic of Dagestan associates with criminality and terrorists. Bombs blast and guns fire there almost every day. The latest event is another proof to that. So why did Magomed ali Magomedov gathered the senior officials of the country? What is it – a show? He is not likely to do something for his people. If he had such a wish, then he would put an end to the criminal mess, reigning in the republic. It was like a performance for the Kremlin only, because the Russian Prosecutor General, Vladimir Ustinov made a statement to the press, in which he said, he was going to be personally in charge of the explosion in Makhachkala.
