The Russian government has approved a proposal on designing the North-European gas pipeline. The proposal was prepared by the Russian Energy Ministry, Gazprom and related federal executive agencies. According to the Government Information Department, a corresponding decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.
The Energy Ministry and Gazprom were commissioned to prepare necessary documentation for building the pipeline. The State Construction Committee, the Ministry of Natural Resources and other related federal agencies should then examine the documents.
