Chehens started mass riots in Yandiky, one man killed

Citizens of town Yandiky, Astrahanski region, voted for expulsion of Chechens from the settlement, on the last Council of the Elders. People believe that Chechens guilty for mass racial troubles.

As Head of Limansky district said, late night on Monday group of Chehens break into Yandiky Town, and started unmercifully beating of Kalmyks. The result was one man, 24, shut to death. The purposes of the clash are uncertain.

After the accident the police arrested 14 suspects. But as soon as they left, Kalmyks started to burn houses of local Chechens. Three people were sent to hospitals with burns.

Funerals of the killed man were appointed on Thursday. More then 100 people gathered to pay tribute to the killed young man, but the ceremony turned out to be a great scuffle, from 250 to 300 people involved.

As much as 6 people injured and hospitalized, 9 houses and about 10 cars were burned, reports Astrachanskie Novosti.
