Putin, photos, and pornography

Vladimir Putin made it understood that a picture of any person with him does not mean anything. Vladimir Putin said that a president is a symbol of the state, like a flag or any other state symbols. The president added that the use of state symbols “depends on the level of public and political culture of the person using them.”

This was Vladimir Putin’s answer to the question regarding his attitude to the fact that photographs with Putin were used both in pre-election agitation and in the struggle with pornography.

The president stressed that everybody likes to use his name, both those who were with and against him. Putin also claimed that he was not going to interfere in their discussions, “let them deal with that themselves,” he said.

As far as photographs are concerned, the president said that he will take photos with anyone he wants to. “I can't and I don’t want to have the FSB invistigate all of those people,” said Putin. The Russian president mentioned that when he takes pictures with people, he doesn't think that some of them might be involved in something illegal.

On the photo: What is this boy up to? The president doesn't know.
