Again, trial on general Lev Rokhlin’s widow is in the centre of mass media’s attention. Tamara Rokhlina, the main accused of the general’s murder, made a protest against the closed process. This was reported by her yesterday, in connexion with recommencement of the process in Naro-Fominsk court. “I have already said everything to Naro-Fominsk judges, who without any proofs of my implication in Lev Rokhlin’s murder sentenced me to 8 years of imprisonment, - Tamara Rokhlina said. – The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation considered its “arguments” to be far-fetched, so the sentence was reversed. I have nothing more to prove before the court, let my lawyers do it. To give evidence is my constitutional right, but not my duty.” The investigation has been lasting for several years, though there are not still any audible proofs of Tamara Rokhlina’s guilt. From the very beginning, the process had a political shade. The stir created by mass media around the process set the accusatory side in an awkward situation. The wish to take the matter to law, without taking into account Tamara Rokhlina’s protests makes think the accusatory side to be engaged. What will be the end of the story is not known yet. Tamara Rokhlina’s lawyers are resolute to bring the matter to the full discharge of their client. While Tamara Rokhlina herself wants to make a protest against judge Maria Matvievskaya’s decision to make the process closed. “I have suffered too much for these three years to admit to them punishing me behind the closed doors”, the general’s widow said.
