Russian KAMAZ trucks to win rally in Emirates again?

The Desert Challenge international auto race in the desert is beginning in the United Arab Emirates on Monday.

This race caps the FIA World Cup cross-country rallying competition of 2003.

The five-day rally with a total length of about 2,000 kilometers will start in the city of Dubai and will then go on across the desert in the environs of Liwa oasis (Abu Dhabi emirate).

More than 110 bikers and crews of cars, jeeps and trucks are participating in the race.

The KamAZ-Master team of Russia is participating in the race on three trucks. Beginning from the year of 1999, the KamAZ drivers invariably emerged victorious in this rally.
