The new GSH-18 pistol will be presented on December 20 in Tula (200 km South of Moscow) during an all-Russian conference, "History and Modern Trends of Development of Russian Pistol Systems". The conference will be attended by weapons developers, heads of weapons producing enterprises, representatives of research institutes and of the customers - federal Defence Ministry and other lawenforcement agencies. Russian Premier Ilya Klebanov is also expected to take part in the conference. The conference has been timed to coincide with three anniversaries, namely: 70 years since the commissioning of the TT (Tulski Tokarev) pistol and 50 years since the Russian police and commandos received first PM (pistolet Makarova) and APS (Avtomaticheski Pistolet Stechkina) pistols.
