Putin urges legislative-executive branches' interaction

Co-operation between the legislative and executive branches of power has recently been based on efficient and well-organised work, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Such co-operation has made it possible to adopt laws crucial for the country and overcome fairly explicable disagreements," said the head of state.

Putin also noted that "disagreements between the executive and legislative branches have always been there and will always remain." "However, it is important to continue settling the differences and upholding the traditions of constructive interaction," the president said.

"Such mutual understanding is particularly important in the work over the budget," stressed Putin. The head of state called on the deputies to "take into account the positive experience of the previous Duma, do everything it takes to meet the deadlines set by the law and minimise the influence of lobbyists whose interests are far from the public and the state." Putin is convinced that "in the past four years, the country's economy has gained the necessary momentum." In his words, this is largely due to the fact that "the joint work of the executive and legislative branches" was aimed to develop economic freedoms. "It is important that deputies further maintain this trend," stressed President Putin.
