The all-Russian conference of chief editors, heads of regional and local print media titled "The role of the regional press in the formation of a new information policy and social development projects" ended. Representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod region took an active part in the event.
First deputy minister of information technology, communications and media of the region, Yeveny Muravyov, said that "the discussion on the federal level of the problems of subscription and distribution of printed media is of great importance today, and it is important to consider the situation objectively on the part of all participants of the market, especially because the subject was also actively discussed at the VII International Forum on Information technology that was held in Nizhny Novgorod on April 15-17.
Primary attention at the forum was paid to the analysis of the current situation on the media market and its development trends, as well as issues of public funding and the establishment of regional media companies, finding solutions to problems of compatibility and complementarity of traditional and electronic content, methods of attracting younger audiences. The participants discussed peculiarities and prospects of the distribution of periodicals.
A special place was reserved for the presentation of projects for effective experience for the development of publications. In this regard, the audience was very interested in the speeches from chief editors of Nizhny Novgorod district newspapers, Alexander Grachev and Lilia Frolova.
In addition, the winners of All-Russian competitions of the press received their awards at the Business Forum. Newspaper "The Nizhny Novgorod Pravda" won the National Competition "Centaur." The newspaper "Hello, People!" received an honorary diploma "The Crystal Matryoshka - 2013."
