Rosoboronexport presents new aviation materiel export catalogue

On Thursday the Federal State Enterprise Rosoboronexport presented a new aviation materiel export catalogue at the MAKS-2003 international airshow in Zhukovski near Moscow.

"Such a complete illustrated catalogue of Russian aviation materiel for export has for the first time been published in English. It has already won the first positive remarks from foreign customers and representatives of the foreign military-technical editions represented at the airshow", the RIA Novosti correspondent quotes Ivan Skrylnik, deputy chief of the public relations service of Rosoboronexport, as saying.

"Although the catalogue is oriented above all towards air force men and experts of foreign purchasing agencies, it will be a handy book of reference for other interested organizations and officials", said Skrylnik.

The catalogue's 10 sections describe over 160 items of aviation materiel, arms and property. Many of them are unique.

"We export items shown in this catalogue with success and are winning more and more foreign markets", Skrylnik continued.

Two weeks before MAKS-2003, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Malaysia and signed an almost billion-dollar deal for exporting a batch of Su-30MKM fighters to that country. They are also included in the catalogue.
