The construction of dwelling houses for the people who have become homeless as a result of the flood last June has begun in the populated areas of the Krasnodar Territory (the south of Russia), head of the Uspensky district Dzhambulat Khatuov told RIA Novosti on Monday.
It is envisaged to build four 36-apartment blocks of flats and 405 one-flat prefabricated board houses at the Cossack villages and khutors of the Uspensky district before winter comes, thereby providing housing for all who need it.
"Workers' teams from the neighbouring Russian regions are helping the local inhabitants build dwelling houses in the inundation zone," Khatuov noted.
