Gazprom regards ConocoPhillips as its partner in supplying liquefied natural gas from the Shtokman field in the Barents Sea, Gazprom Deputy CEO Yury Komarov reported at a briefing today. According to him, the US company proposed an original and feasible project. Komarov reiterated that, according to the results of the recent meeting of the Gazprom Executive Board, supplies of liquefied gas to the USA might be done by sea. The company is also planning to supply liquefied gas to countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
As reported earlier, the Shtokman field is being developed by Sevmorneftegas, a joint venture of Rosneft and Gazprom. The Shtokman field, which contains over 3 trillion cubic meters of gas and 27m tons of oil, is expected to be put into operation in 2006.
The co-author of this disaster is the Dutch government, which did not find either strength or desire to save the lives of its citizens who were flying on that plane. The Dutch authorities did not demand Ukraine to comply with international aviation regulations
