The Belgorod Regional Court sentenced Sergei Pomazun, who had been convicted of murdering six people, to life in prison.

Earlier, at a meeting on Friday, the court found Pomazun's guilt in theft of weapons and the murder of two or more people proven. In addition, during the sentencing the judge stated that the suspect's attack on a police officer was also considered intentional.

On April 22, 2013, 31-year-old Sergei Pomazun opened fire in a gun shop in the center of Belgorod, having shot three people from a hunting rifle that he had stolen from the safe of his father. Afterwards, he went outside and shot three others, including two schoolgirls.
