Putin's Russia to become part of new history textbooks

The new textbook on history will include a special section devoted to the ruling of Vladimir Putin. Thus, Russian schoolchildren will study not only the history of the post-perestroika Russia before 2000, but also the recent history before 2012, Izvestia wrote.

Some historians do not share this position and believe that it is premature to evaluate and analyze the period of Putin's Russia. The Ministry of Education will publish the concept of the new textbook as early as next week.
