On October 23-24 Khabarovsk will be hosting the 5th consultative meeting on the implementation of the Russian-Japanese intergovernmental convention on the protection of migrant birds and their habitat, said the press service of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.
Representatives of the two countries will introduce amendments to the joint list of bird species on the verge of disappearance in connection with the new 2001 edition of the Russian Red Book.
Each side will deliver reports on the condition of the management of natural territories, including nature preserves.
The implementation of joint projects on the control over the condition of migrant birds' populations and preservation of their habitats from nestling places in Russia's north to wintering sites in the south.
The Russian-Japanese intergovernmental convention on the protection of migrant birds and their habitat was signed by the Soviet and Japanese Prime Ministers in October 1973 in Moscow.
The previous meeting on the implementation of the convention was held in Japan in 1996.
The co-author of this disaster is the Dutch government, which did not find either strength or desire to save the lives of its citizens who were flying on that plane. The Dutch authorities did not demand Ukraine to comply with international aviation regulations
