5 People Arrested In Connection With Explosion In Astrakhan

Five people have been arrested in connection with the August 19th explosion in the Kirovsky central market, Astrakhan, the Press and PR Department of the Prosecutor's General Office reported on Friday. According to the department, two of the arrestees had long been living in Astrakhan, another two are natives of the North Caucasus and the fifth is a Ukrainian. A woman is among the arrestees who are the man who had ordered the crime, the executor and accomplices in the crime. All are facing charges. A spokesman for the Prosecutor General's Office reported that investigators of the Astrakhan Prosecutor's Office were persevering with the investigation. Over 150 witnesses to the explosion have been questioned, expert checks are being conducted. The August 19th explosion in Astrakhan victimised over 70 people and 8 of them were killed.
