The 6th international forum Russian Industrialist 2002 begins today in Saint Petersburg and will continue until 27th September. Attending the plenary session will be Deputy Russian Minister for Industry, Science and Technology Sergei Mitin, State Secretary for the Union of Russia and Belarus Pavel Borodin and Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Victor Dombrovsky, Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President in the North-west Federal District Liubov Sovershaeva and Governor of Saint Petersburg Vladimir Yakovlev.
More than 700 companies from 50 regions of Russia and 30 countries, including Great Britain, the USA, Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Among Russian participants will be the Russian Machine-building Company (Russky Stankostroitel), Kirovsky Factory, United Machine-building Factories, Leningrad Metal Factory, Electrosila and the Aerospace Equipment corporation.
The central topic of the meeting will be the technical reequipment of Russian industry. The forum will also include the 9th Fair of Investment Projects, the conference Radiation Safety, the conference Small Business. The Technology of Success and the conference Transport and International Transit.
