Tran Duc Luong has been re-elected the President of Vietnam by the Vietnamese Parliament in Hanoi, giving him a second mandate of five years.
Luong received 97% pf the votes from the 498 members of the Vietnamese National Assembly (Parliament), after the general legislative election on 19th May.
The 65-year-old President Luong, who belongs to the Vietnamese Communist party, intends to continue the policy of careful reforms and loyalty to national traditions, which has been so successful in Vietnam.
