Vladimir Putin: Iraq disarmament file to be closed

The Iraq disarmament file should be closed, Vladimir Putin has declared.

"For our part we are ready to do what we can, meaning our capabilities in Iraq. We have to act in close cooperation and openly," said Russian President Vladimir Putin at the press conference on results of his talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

"One pledge of this is, among other things, the bringing closer of relations between our secret services, which maintain direct contacts on not only Afghanistan but problems of the global struggle against terrorism," said the Russian head of state.
