Brazil: The Great Jail Escape

350 military police are searching for the 120 inmates of a jail in the north of the state of Sao Paulo. The prisoners escaped through a tunnel which they had dug to connect up with the sewage system.

The tunnel was not made from within the prison to the outside, but from the outside, inwards, avoiding the problem of where to put the soil.

Only four of the escapees have so far been caught, although due to the fact that they have been crawling through sewage, they should not be too hard to find.
