Russia to supply air defense systems to Belarus

An agreement on supplying a considerable number of S-300 Russian surface-to-air missile systems to Belarus will be signed in the near future. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov made a corresponding statement at a press conference in Minsk.

Air defense systems delivered to Belarus will enhance the security in the sphere of air defense of both states, Ivanov pointed out. Ivanov did not mention the quantity of S-300s to be supplied to Belarus.
