Pavel Borodin is not in for quitting his post of State Secretary of the Russo-Belarussian Union. Ivan Makushok, Mr Borodin's press spokesman, said this Monday.
"There is such thing as rotation in office. But thus far, Mr Borodin is not planning to quit his post," said Mr Makushok.
Mr Borodin's office expires in January 2004. News media have therefore reported that he allegedly plans to stand for Moscow region governor.
"This is old news. We have already had to comment on media reports to the effect that Pavel Borodin will be nominated for governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Ulyanovsk region," noted the press secretary.
