Young counterfeiters detained in Urals

Two 17-year-old counterfeiters have been detained in Talitsa, the Sverdlovsk region, the Urals. A false 50-rouble banknote was found in a shop while counting the earnings, the regional interior department's press service reported. On the same day another similar banknote was discovered at a refueling station.

During the investigation the police detained two 17-year-old students of a vocational college and confiscated a substantial sum of computer-printed money of fairly high quality. The students tried to excuse themselves by a low scholarship.

Criminal proceedings have been launched.
