One servicemen killed, two wounded in Chechnya

A serviceman was killed and two more wounded in landmine explosions in Chechnya.

According to the headquarters of the Joint Group of Forces in the North Caucasus, the radio-controlled landmine exploded during engineer reconnaissance of the terrain in the village of Chechen-Aul, Grozny district, killing an interior ministry serviceman.

On the same day, two KamAZ petrol tankers drove over an explosive device planted on the side of a road on the outskirts of Argun. The bomb exploded, wounding two servicemen.

Over the past 24 hours, militants armed with grenade launchers and automatic weapons staged several attacks on roadblocks of federal forces in Grozny and Shali. Response fire was opened on every occasion. No one was hurt.

Representatives of the North Korean administration issued a statement saying that the United States and its allies have lost the "political and military confrontation" to the DPRK
