Danish companies to expand in Omsk

A Danish delegation arrived in Omsk yesterday. Here the Danish delegation met Mayor of Omsk Yevgeny Belov and saw a presentation of the upcoming Days of Omsk festival, which is planned for October 1-3.

As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of the local administration, the Danish visitors, who are in Omsk for the first time, plan to get to know the region and enlist the support of the regional and city authorities for the project.

During talks with the Danish delegation Mr Belov spoke of the city's willingness to cooperate with Danish companies in various spheres of activity, including investment in the local energy industry, the installation of energy-efficient technology, the construction of low-capacity gas boilers and also the restoration of old buildings using modern insulating materials.

The city authorities are also prepared to help the Danes set up joint enterprises with local companies. The regional and city authorities are doing everything possible to attract investment in the region. In the mayor's opinion, the two sides can begin collaborating today, without necessarily waiting until October. Danish energy companies could present their designs and proposals for Omsk this summer.
