VLADIMIR YELAGIN KNOWS HOW TO RESTORE CHECHNYA

Vladimir Yelagin, appointed yesterday to be minister for social and economic development of Chechnya, told ITAR-TASS in an exclusive interview that the new ministry would be engaged in the restoration of destroyed economic installations in the Chechen Republic. “Chechens are good builders, and they will be working at construction sites, all necessary materials being supplied to them using a scheme developed by the government. We have already a programme available in which many government agencies are involved,” said Mr. Yelagin. He, however, did not specify the time needed for the restoration. The main thing is that we get it started, he added.
