President Vladimir Putin will travel to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan next week, the Kremlin announced Tuesday.
The Russian leader will visit Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi King Abdullah on Feb. 11-12.
On Feb. 12, Putin will fly to the Arab state of Qatar for meetings with Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani before heading to Amman for talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II, the Kremlin said in a statement, reports AP.
The trip will be the first for Putin to any of the three countries and comes as Moscow has increased its participation in trying to resolve simmering conflicts in the Middle East.
