Norway shares farming experience with Novgorod Region

Novgorod Region Governor Mikhail Prusak and his deputy Alexander Boitsov departed for Norway for a three-day visit on May 30. The Novgorod Region administration press service told Rosbalt that Prusak and Boitsov will become acquainted with the experience of Norwegian farmers who are using equipment for commercial milk farms of Swedish company De Laval. Novgorod Region recently signed an agreement of cooperation with De Laval. In one of the learning institutions of Norwegian city Tan, Norwegians undergo training for specialists, and once they have learned special techniques visit a machine-building factory and conduct a number of business negotiations.

At the beginning of May, Prusak and De Laval Regional Director Ule Reite signed an agreement which provides for joint action in reorganizing agricultural production in Novgorod Region with an infusion of modern technology especially in cattle breeding.
