Chelyabinsk region delegation goes to Germany

On Monday an official delegation of the Chelyabinsk Region (the Urals area) headed by speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Region Viktor Davydov and vice-governor of the Region Vladimir Dyatlov left for the Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany on a week-long economic mission.

The main purpose of the trip is to sign an agreement on mutually advantageous cooperation between the governments of the Chelyabinsk Region and the Rhineland-Palatinate state, to attract investments to the Southern Urals, and to establish direct contacts between Chelyabinsk and German managers.

Meetings with the federal consul of the Russian Federation to Munich and representatives of the Development Bank of Bavaria and of the United Mortgage Bank will be held during the visit.

The delegation of the Southern Urals will visit the DaimlerChrysler plant, the Wirtgen GmbH and Knauf firms and other German companies.

Furthermore, individual talks and business meetings are on the economic mission's agenda.
