The weighted average euro rate was RUR 34.85 by the end of today's special trading session on the Russian currency market. This is RUR0.08 lower than the official euro rate for October 30. Experts reported that the euro was retreating on the domestic currency market for the third day in a row. On October 28 and 29 the euro lost RUR0.41.
Analysts linked a fall in the euro rate on the domestic market to the continuing reduction in the euro against the dollar on international exchanges. The EU currency lost more than 1 percent against the end of the previous week.
