Viper contraband arrested on Russian-Chimese border

A typically New Year-time contraband was arrested on the Primorye section of the Russian-Chinese border, reported the press center of the Pacific regional department of Russia's Federal Border Service.

Examining a Chinese passenger coach returning from Russia to China, border guards discovered live vipers in boxes stuffed with fruit and vegetables. Apparently, the vipers would have been cooked and served at the New Year table: dishes made of snakes are considered a treat in Asia and one of the best and most expensive New Year treats.
