Moscow police arrest nearly 1,000 illegal migrants

 

As many as 952 illegal migrants have been detained in Moscow. The migrant workers were living in cabins, a typical housing for workers from former Soviet republics, who come to Moscow to earn extra money.

Such raids are conducted in Moscow on a regular basis. Police and the Federal Migration Service detain hundreds of illegal immigrants at construction sites. Now, however, the inflow of migrant workers, who come to Russia to work, never stops. The problem may attract the attention of the Federal Security Bureau. According to the information from security services, some guest-workers come to Russia as terrorists or spies.

The security agency will have take efforts to stop the nearly endless flow of illegal immigrants to the country. Although, even the FSB does not know exactly how many foreign nationals without registrations are located in Russia ...
