USA offers Russia assistance to ensure safety at Sochi Olympics

 

The U.S. offered Russia assistance in the organization of security at the Olympic Games in Sochi.

U.S. authorities said they would work more closely with Russia to ensure safety to athletes, spectators, visitors and other participants in the World Games.

In turn, British Prime Minister David Cameron wrote to Russian President Vladimir Putin that London was ready to provide any possible assitance to Russia.


Previously, officials with the International Olympic Committee said that they had no doubt about the fact that Russian services would guarantee all safety measures in Sochi during the Olympics.
