By the moment the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has registered 51 parties, with 41 of them having confirmed the registration of their regional branches.
This was said by chief of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice for Moscow Alexander Booksman.
According to him, the parties which submitted the data on completion of the registration of their regional branches to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation may take part in the parliamentary elections scheduled for December.
The Ministry is now forming the final list of the public-political associations which may claim participation in the elections in a bloc with political parties, Booksman said. He also specified that exclusively political parties will be able to participate in the elections, on their own or in a bloc, from January 1, 2004.
